Christmas Windows Talk

Every single one of us (talking to my female audience :)) goes “Window shopping” from time to time to find out what will be IN for the following season. During Christmas the VM teams of every shop or department store in every country are working hard to get you into to Christmas spirit (and tempt you to enter their store to buy some gifts!). I collected a few photos of the windows around London. Enjoy!

Selfridges

My favorite this year! Unbelievable job by the VM team at Selfridges! All work and no play makes Santa a dull boy – This year the windows show Santa enjoying himself instead of only delivering gifts. 🙂

Harrods

The biggest and most luxurious store in Europe. It also happens to be where I work, and thanks to the Christmas rush, where I spend most of my time nowadays.
Please find pictures of “our” Christmas windows created in collaboration with Burberry below. The whole collaboration also includes a lovely short movie which you can see on the Harrods and Burberry social medias. That will definitely bring you some Christmas spirit!

Harvey Nichols

This department store located on the same street as Harrods is going through loads of changes at the moment. The new menswear floor and very stylish ground floor for ladies are only the first wave of improvements. Harrods is always the main competition and the fact that HN is right next to all the boutiques of the big brands on Sloane Street doesn’t help either. For that reason the whole building is going through a series of upgrades and  refurbishment to keep the store fresh and fashionable.

London is famous not only for its department stores but also for the many highstreet brands available on Regents Street and Oxford Street as well as luxury flagships stores on Bond Street or Sloane Street. The following gallery is the collection of some of those windows. The most popular this year were Christmas decorations in gold shades and the inclusion of polar bears and penguins.
