Dover Street Market, New Fashion Destination

There are loads of places to go shopping in London. Department stores Harrods and Selfridges or the boutiques of Sloane and Bond Streets are the best way to experience the luxury retail service.
Regent Street or Oxford Street are the places to purchase your favourite highstreet brands, whilst Spitalfields Market, Camden and Brick Lane are full of the independent small brands.

The place I love to go shopping or just walk around to be inspired is the Dover Street Market!

A few months ago Dover Street Market changed its address. It’s no longer on Dover Street in Mayfair, it’s new home is Haymarket down the road from Piccadilly Circus towards St. James’s Park.

Despite the move and the bigger venue it still has the spirit which the old place had. It is a great place to go shopping and have a little wonder around! Everything is cool, stylish and I guarantee you won’t leave without purchasing something.

In Dover Street Market you can buy anything you see, literally anything you see in the pictures is for sale! Yes, even the changing rooms, decorations, shelves etc.  Everything is a piece of art! My favourite piece is this chubby kid. Isn’t it cute?:)

Adrian Joffe, husband of the owner Rei Kawakubo (who is also the creative director of Comme des Garçons)  leads a team of buyers who choose the best bits from a wide range of brands. This will include pieces you won’t see anywhere else as DSM often collaborates with designers on exclusives. This means you can find famous brands such as Dior and Gucci with the best of their collection in the same store as pieces from new designers who just released their debut collection. My favourite is the interesting selections of jewelry!
